Be a Hand to those Who Are Struggling with Mental Health

Mental illness is a disorder of the brain, which is the most important organ. Did you know that one in four adults experience mental illness in a given year? These would include depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD, just to name a few. WE need to work to end the stigma around mental health and can be caused by genetics, biological, environmental, social or other factors.  Like other diseases, mental illnesses are no one’s fault!! Will you be willing to have a conversation with someone you love to check in and hear how they are doing? Or even further will you walk with others and take the next step to get help if they are struggling? Don’t do this alone! If you or someone you know needs immediate help or is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800.273.TALK (8255)
