Self-Care

Are you taking care of yourself? During this season it is easy to put your needs below as you try to help others walk through this season. As a teacher you are probably overly tired, short tempered and just wanting to shutdown or disconnect. Do you feel like this? Are you lacking motivation yourself? These are all indicators that you need to address the problem and work on prioritizing yourself. You need to create some tiny habits and action steps to become healthy again and work to make sure your boundaries are in check. What are the things that fill your cup and make you feel alive? They might be little things like going on a walk outside, drinking a cup of coffee, spending time with a friend or going shopping. Take time to sleep, drink water and eat! Make an effort to splurge and spend time on you and your needs. This world needs you and if you don’t take care of yourself, you won’t be able to care for others. So, before you snap or are burned out, take time for yourself and get in a good place.
